Das Tao der Sprache
Sei ganz bei dem, was du sagen willst.
Sei ganz genau, ganz klar, ganz ehrlich.
Und sei zugleich ganz die nur halb aufmerksame Oberflächlichkeit derer, die dich vielleicht anhören werden.
Nimm eine Haltung ein ähnlich jener, wenn du etwas im Gegenlicht genauer anschauen willst: Du kneifst die Augen zusammen, um schärfer zu sehen, wobei du zugleich weniger siehst.

Be precise, clear and honest.
And at the same time, be completely aware of the half-hearted superficiality of those who may be listening to you.
Adopt a posture similar to that which you would adopt if you wanted to look more closely at something in bright light: you squint your eyes to see more clearly, but at the same time you see less.

Concentrati su ciò che vuoi dire.
Sii preciso, chiaro, sincero.
E allo stesso tempo sii superficiale, come quelli che forse ti ascolteranno solo a metà.
Assumi una posizione simile a quella che assumi quando vuoi guardare più da vicino qualcosa in controluce: socchiudi gli occhi per vedere meglio, ma allo stesso tempo vedi meno.
